In February, we traveled to Wallkill, NY and interviewed Charles Simonson another fighter pilot of the 356th Fighter Squadron. We had a great time meeting and interviewing Charles. We learned a lot about the 354th Fighter Group.
Charles is the first man I have met and spoken to that knew Bill Perkins in the war. Bill and Charles were assigned to the same tent during the last 2 months of Bill's life.
