In 2007, Ted Skowronek visited the Aviation Explorer Post 352

In 2007, Rich Cutshall owner of the Anzio Landing Restaurant, was a supporter of Mesa, AZ's Aviation Explorer Post 352. Rich invited Major Ted Skowronek of the 354th FG in WWII to speak to the scouts. Interviews include Rich Cutshall, Major Ted Skowronek, Stephen Sloan, James Maxcy, Will Cutshall and Eric Horton.

Ted Skowronek spoke to the scouts and then took a flight on "Barbie III" a B-25H.

Peter Wilson passed away recently

I just found out from Will Louie that Peter Wilson (an armorer with the 356th Fighter Squadron) passed away at age 95 on September 17, 2016. He was a very nice man. We met him a few times during the 354th Reunions. Rest in Peace, Peter.

New Video - James Howard and DING HAO!

James Howard was the only fighter pilot in the ETO to be awarded the Medal of Honor during WWII. James Howard was leading a flight of P-51s on January 11, 1944 when he found himself alone protecting  a squadron of US bombers from about 40 German enemy planes. Peter Wilson, General F. Michael Rogers and Will Louie tell the story.

New Video - Edward R. Regis Tribute

Edward R. Regis was a fighter pilot in the 353rd Fighter Squadron. In this tribute video he talks about his time as a P-51 pilot, getting shot down and becoming a POW. He also talks about "The Great March" in which hundreds of thousands of Allied POWS were forced to march across Germany in blizzard conditions.

Lt. Col. Ralph Delgado, Jr. talks about his WWII career in the 355th Fighter Squadron. He tells about being a "Fighter-Bomber Boy," flak, and "dodging bullets."

Ralph Brown passed away at age 99

I just learned the sad news of Ralph Brown's passing. He was the 99 year old man who was a fighter pilot in WWII who I met and interviewed last August. He was still active and quite an inspiration to me. Rest in Peace, Ralph.
